MENACOM Jordan recently concluded its MENACOM Donation Drive, which saw employees across the group collect clothing, blankets, and food items for people in need.

For several weeks during the month of January, employees across MENACOM’s various agencies and support departments brought in non-perishable food items, blankets, and gently used clothing, which were collected in dedicated donation boxes placed throughout the group’s new offices in Abdali. Employees went above and beyond to demonstrate their giving spirit, recognizing how difficult the cold winter months can be for people in need throughout the country.

At the conclusion of the MENACOM Donation Drive, the donated clothes and blankets were collected by the Charity Clothing Bank. To collect the food donations, MENACOM turned to its trusted partner talabat Jordan, who leveraged their existing partnership with the Jordanian Food Bank in order to deliver the donated goods and help get them into the hands of those who need them the most.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEO of MENACOM Jordan, Relja Jovic, said, “This winter season has been a particularly brutal one for the Kingdom—and for those already struggling under the weight of poverty and the ongoing pandemic, the drop in temperatures and rise in inclement weather can be especially vicious. As the largest communications group in Jordan, with more than 170 employees, we at MENACOM were eager to leverage our strength in numbers in order to help alleviate suffering throughout the country. We are very proud of the generosity displayed by our team, and we look forward to building further on our commitment to supporting the wider community.”

The Managing Director of talabat Jordan, Hala Siraj, also commented, saying, “We are grateful to be able to assist MENACOM Jordan in their efforts to help those in need during these cold winter months, and are always eager to help facilitate giving in our community—especially when it’s coming from one of our partners, and in support of another.”
